call for PhD applications: Β‘Europe and the invention of modernityΒ

Dear colleagues,
the call for applications for the European doctoral programme in β€˜Europe
and the invention of modernity’ is now out.

As you can see in the call, 4 three-year study grants are awarded (€
20,000 per year), and students are selected on the basis of their research
projects, curricula and oral exam.

Students’ applications (which can be written in French, Italian, German or
English) should be sent to SUM no later than 23 November 2009, while the
selection will take place in middle December (you’ll receive all the
details of this in the next days).

As you'll surely remark, the time for advertising the call is quite short.
So, we pray all and each of you to diffuse the call among your own
networks the most is possible.
